Govt issues list of 113 registered Umrah companies

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has released an official list of 113 registered Umrah ‎companies to safeguard pilgrims from fraud and malpractice, reported 24NewsHD TV.‎

According to the ministry, Umrah pilgrims are instructed to confirm whether a company is registered before making ‎any bookings. Pilgrims should verify the company on the ministry’s official website.‎ The ministry further advised that payments must be made only to the company’s official bank account. Pilgrims ‎should also obtain a copy of the payment receipt and agreement from the company.‎ 

The spokesperson added that the company is responsible for booking the complete Umrah package, including visa, ‎tickets, transport, and accommodation.‎
