Notorious travel agent arrested for sending people to Japan on fake documents
A man was arrested Tuesday for sending 22 youths to Japan showing forged Pakistan Football Federation certificates and Ministry of Foreign Affairs NOC in Sialkot, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
FIA composite circle arrested the infamous travel agent, Waqas Ali, for involvement in human trafficking as he smuggled people presenting them as the National Football team of Pakistan.
According to the details, Waqas extorted Rs 4.5 million per person to get their visit visas for Japan this year.
He had also managed to smuggle 17 people to Japan, presenting them as the national team in January last year.
Cases were filed against the accused by FIA in Gujranwala.
The FIA spokesperson said that raids are being carried out in Gujranwala to arrest Waqas’ facilitators.
