Two dacoits gunned down, two escape in Lahore police encounters

Two notorious dacoits were dead, and two escaped from the scene during two police encounters in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The Crime Control Department (CCD) sources said that one under-custody accused, Amir, died after receiving serious gun shots during a police encounter in the Yakki Gate area of Lahore.

Accused Amir was involved in different dacoities and snatching cases.

In the second police encounter in LDA Avenue at Raiwind Road, one accused died, and two others escaped from the scene.

CCD sources said that after they signaled the accused, who were riding a motorcycle, to stop, they started firing on the police team.

During heavy exchange of fire, one of the accused died, and two of his accomplices fled.

Later, the police team shifted the dead bodies of the accused to a hospital’s mortuary for post-mortem and started a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
