Punjab Advocate General Ahmad Awais has reportedly decided to resign from his position, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Ahmad Awais will tender his resignation to Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema.

It is pertinent to mention here that Ahmad Awais remained the Advocate General of Punjab from October 2018 to April 11, 2019.

He had resigned from his post after the Lahore High Court (LHC) summoned the Punjab chief minister in the Model Town tragedy case.

He became the Advocate General of Punjab again on July 29, 2020.
