Three die after falling into open sewer in Karachi’s New Lyari Town
Father, son among the victims
Three people, including a father and his son, died after falling into an open sewer in the New Lyari area of Karachi, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
According to officials and local sources, the victims, believed to be sanitation workers, were pulled out following a rescue operation involving residents, police, and volunteers from the Edhi Foundation.
Two of the deceased have been identified as Naseer William and his son Shan, relatives confirmed.
The identity of the third victim has yet to be officially disclosed.

The bodies of all three deceased were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Residents expressed concern over the increasing number of such incidents, saying that both humans and animals frequently fall into uncovered drains in the area.
