Lammy phones Dar, reaffirms UK's support for Pakistani flood victims

British Secretary of State David Lammy contacted Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday and expressed his deep condolences over the loss of precious lives in the recent floods, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

According to Pakistan's Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, Lammy reaffirmed the UK’s solidarity with Pakistan in this difficult hour.

The spokesperson said that the UK secretary of state also extended his best wishes for Dar’s ongoing visit to London, hoping for fruitful meetings with British leadership.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude for Britain’s solidarity and its offer to support Pakistan in relief and rehabilitation efforts. 

Ishaq Dar also voiced hope for continued engagement and stronger ties with the British leadership.
