Former PTI lawmaker Wasif Raan decides to join PPP

Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmaker from Multan Malik Wasif Mazhar Raan has decided to join the Pakistan People’s Party, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

According to sources, he made up his mind to join PPP after having a meeting with former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani last night.  

An official announcement from him is expected in a couple of days.

The PTI leader quit the party in June 2023 over the May 9 violent riots.

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from PP-218 (Multan-VIII) as a PTI candidate.
