Ads published declaring KP CM Afridi, others proclaimed offenders
On court orders, advertisements were published in newspapers on Wednesday, declaring KP Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi, Meena Khan, Shafiullah Jan, Amjad Ali and Iqbal Afridi proclaimed offenders (POs) and ordering them to appear in court within 30 days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
It was further written in the advertisement that in case the suspects did not show up within this time period, legal action would be taken against them.
Action is being taken against the CM and four others in connection with two cases registered against them.
On Tuesday, 24News TV channel reported that an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad set in motion the process of declaring Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi, KP Minister Meena Khan, Shafiullah Jan and Iqbal Afridi proclaimed offenders (POs) after they failed to appear in the court despite having summoned several times.
Earlier, the court had also started the procedure for declaring Afridi and others POs in a case registered at Noon Police Station.
