Pakistan Bar Council elections results officially announced

The results of the Pakistan Bar Council elections have been officially announced on Wednesday, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

The announcement was made by Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, who serves as Chairman of the Pakistan Bar Council.

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarrar emerged as the top vote-getter; other successful candidates included Ahsan Bhon, Hafeez-ur-Rehman Chaudhry, Salman Akram Raja, Shafqat Mehmood Chauhan, and Muhammad Maqsoor Butter.

Additional winners declared included Amir Saeed Raan, Tahir Nasrullah Waraich, Pir Muhammad Masood Chishti, Syed Qalb Hasan, and Saqib Akram Gondal, among others.

The elections were held on December 13, in which the Independent Group emerged victorious in the unofficial results of the PBC for the Punjab seats.

According to preliminary results, 11 seats were contested from Punjab, out of which the Independent Group won eight seats, while the Professional Group managed to secure only two seats.
