Three senior officers resigns approved amid corruption scandal at National Cyber Crime Agency

In a major development in the corruption scandal at the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), the resignations of three senior officers, including a deputy director, have been accepted, sources said on Wednesday.

According to sources, the resignations were approved by the Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and have been accepted with effect from November 20.

The officers who stepped down include Deputy Director Sarfaraz Chaudhry, Assistant Director Muhammad Usman, and Assistant Director Shoaib Riaz.

Sources said the resignations come amid an ongoing corruption scandal within the agency. Further details regarding the case and possible legal or departmental action are awaited.

Meanwhile, Assistant Director Asma Majeed also resigned as she has been transfered to the National Forensic Agency.
