The Sindh High Court (SHC) has disallowed urgent hearing on the plea of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to stop the test being held today for recruitment against the government jobs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
MQM leaders including Senator Khalida Tayyab, Ghulam Dastagir, Rana Ansar, and Shahana Ashar appeared before the court.
Justice Junaid Ghaffar refused permission for urgent hearing on the plea.
“It is a case of public interest, and it should be heard today,” Tariq Mansoor Advocate argued before the court.
“Tests are starting from today. A stay order should be issued,” he added.
“We are not accepting any urgency in the pending cases,” Justice Junaid Ghaffar said.
“The recruitment process in the government departments was challenged by the MQM,” Tariq Mansoor Advocate told the court.
“Recruitment through SIBA testing service is illegal. Citizens of Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur will be affected by these recruitments,” he added.
It is to be noted here that tests are being held from today for recruitment against 90,000 government jobs.
