Unidentified people held up, tortured and abandoned the daughter of Afghan envoy in Islamabad Najibullah Alikhel to threaten him, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
The incident took place Thursday afternoon when 27-year-old Selsel was returning from Blue Area after buying a gift for her younger brother. She took a cab and all of a sudden a man got into it.
He started beating her as she attempted to resist, saying: "Your father is a communist and we will not leave him."
She fell unconscious. As she regained consciousness at around 6pm, her hands and feet were tied and saw a deserted road.
She got to know that the area was F7 as she asked a passer-by. She took a cab to F9 park as she knew that landmark and from gate no 3, she called a person named Hikmat who picked her on an official vehicle.
Her shoes, mobile phone and dupatta were missing. She has a Rs50 note with a message stating: “Your turn is next, communist!"
She was taken to hospital and the Kohisar SHO sent a squad for identification of the place she described. Another team was assigned the task to go through cameras.
