The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) Chairman directed a crackdown against LPG sellers on inflated prices as the price has been raised yet again – for the third time in a week, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Ogra in a circular issued to all chief secretaries on Saturday directed to take stern action against people involved in selling LPG other than the official price.
Ogra Spokesperson said that Ogra chairman has written a letter to all four chief secretaries, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in this regard.
The spokesperson further said that Ogra set the price of LPG at Rs160.13 per kg.
However market sources say the LPG is only available at the inflated price and the price graph is increasing as currently, it has reached Rs170 per kg without Ogra approval.
