Rashid says China assured of all efforts to arrest perpetrators of bus bomb blast

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said Saturday that Pakistan had assured China that all possible steps would be made to get to the perpetrators of Dasu bus bomb blast incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said he had received a phone call from China’s minister on security in the morning. “Both of us discussed the bomb blast at a bus carrying the employees of Dasu Hydropower project on July 14 which resulted in the loss of 13 precious lives,” he informed.
Similarly, he added he had a detailed discussion with his Chinese counterpart on increasing the security of Chinese citizens working on different projects in Pakistan.
He told journalists that Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to visit China. “A 15-member team of Chinese investigators which had arrived in Pakistan yesterday (Friday, July 16) today visited the site of the blast along with the interior ministry officials,” Rasheed informed.
He expressed the resolve that just like those behind the Lahore bomb blast were arrested similarly those who masterminded and those who carried out the blast at a bus would soon be behind the bars.

The minister said that the foreign ministry would brief the media on PM Imran’s meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
He disclosed that five Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials had been arrested while 19 issued show-cause notices for issuing few hundred fake passports.
“Prime Minister is due to start his election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) today,” he said and expressed the optimism that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) would form a government there.
Rasheed told journalists that 70, 000 to 80, 000 online cases had been disposed of. “And in order to prevent corruption, the visa system has also been made online,” he informed.
The interior minister regretted that India did not let go a single opportunity of interfering in Pakistan. “Today, there is a new Pakistan,” he said, and said categorically that Pakistan would not let anybody to use its soil against Afghanistan.
He said PM Imran had reversed the policy of ‘Do More’. “Now it is ‘No More’” he commented.
