Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tuesday visited the Supreme Command Post at Kohati Gate to review the security arrangements for Muharram, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to the media, Gandapur emphasized that Muharram is proceeding peacefully with all departments working together, making security the top priority of the KP government.
Highlighting the province's ongoing struggle against terrorism, Gandapur praised the efforts and sacrifices of the army, police, and civilians.
"We are confident that we will continue to establish peace as we have done before. There is no compromise when it comes to ending terrorism," he asserted.
In response to political opposition, Gandapur strongly defended PTI, stating, "Those who are sitting under Form 47 by stealing the mandate claim they will ban PTI. The party with the most votes cannot be banned. No one's father can ban PTI."
He also called for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner following the Supreme Court's decision regarding reserved seats.
Gandapur criticized the idea of appointing ad hoc judges and advocated for merit-based appointments, adding that he will discuss this in the assembly.
On the subject of negotiations, Gandapur mentioned that the decision would be made by the founder of PTI.
