IHC chief justice says he has taken measures for speedy delivery of justice

Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar says he has taken measures for speedy delivery of justice.

Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday, Justice Dogar thanked the hosts and the participants who arrived from abroad. After taking oath as chief justice of the Islamabad High Court, he said, he formed different committees and set up special benches to solve the problems faced by the overseas Pakistanis. He said that IHC was short of staff as well as judges.

IHCBA President Wajid Gilani also addressed the ceremony and welcomed Justice Dogar and other participants. He said that credit goes to Justice Dogar for bridging the gap between the judges and the lawyers. He said he salutes Justice Dogar because he dismissed terrorism cases against lawyers.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani, Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan, Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz, Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri, Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Muhammad Asif did not attend the ceremony.
