PM’s Special Assistant on Crypto Bilal Saqib meets El Salvador president

Minister of State and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Bilal bin Saqib met with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

On the occasion, Pakistan and El Salvador signed letter of intent on Bitcoin and digital assets. 

According to a statement, Pakistan Crypto Council and El Salvador Bitcoin Office to strengthen bilateral cooperation. 

Cooperation in the fields of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin will be enhanced and awareness will be promoted under the agreement. 

Cooperation will be enhanced in new initiatives related to Bitcoin. Cooperation will be strengthened to increase the use of Bitcoin.

Bilal Saqib said that El Salvador is the first country to use Bitcoin. 

Bilal Saqib said El Salvador used Bitcoin while in the IMF program. 

Bilal Saqib said we want to learn from El Salvador’s experience.
