Living in a jungle? Waseem Abbas calls out Rajab Butt and Ducky Bhai over celebrity claims
Veteran Pakistani actor Waseem Abbas has sparked discussion after questioning remarks made by YouTubers Rajab Butt and Ducky Bhai about two of Pakistan's most well-known television stars, Fahad Mustafa and Bushra Ansari.
Speaking during a recent interview, Waseem Abbas said he found it difficult to believe that Rajab Butt could be unaware of Fahad Mustafa's stature in Pakistan's entertainment industry.
Referring to Fahad as one of the country's biggest stars, Waseem jokingly remarked that if Rajab truly did not know him, he must have been "living in a jungle."
The actor also questioned Ducky Bhai's earlier claim that he did not know legendary actress Bushra Ansari.
Waseem said such statements should not be made about senior artists who have spent decades building Pakistan's television industry. According to him, he was particularly disappointed by the comments made about Bushra Ansari.
Addressing the ongoing debate between mainstream television artists and digital creators, Waseem acknowledged that Bushra Ansari had previously expressed concerns about the rapid success of TikTokers and content creators.
He explained that her remarks reflected the perspective of artists who dedicated years of hard work to the entertainment industry before achieving recognition.
According to Waseem, Bushra's comments should not have been taken as a personal attack. He argued that even if someone disagreed with her opinion, it was not serious enough to justify dismissing or disrespecting a senior artist.
His remarks come against the backdrop of separate public exchanges involving Rajab Butt and Fahad Mustafa, as well as Ducky Bhai and Bushra Ansari, both of which generated widespread debate on social media.
The interview has since gained traction online, with social media users sharing mixed reactions.
