Local rescuers have recovered the bodies of two brothers who were swept away by flood in Battagram River, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Both students were coming back to their home after school and washed away by the floodwater triggered by heavy rains in Battagram on Thursday.

Local people on their own launched a search and pulled out the bodies of the two brother after hours of effort. The locals also protested against the rescue services for not showing up on time.  

Earlier, a fresh spell of rain hit Battagram city and had exposed the performance of tehsil municipal administration as the rainwater flown on roads entered shops in Battagram Bazaar due to clogged sewage lines and drains, troubling commuters and traders.

Local residents and traders complained that drains were clogged in almost all parts of Battagram Bazaar though the TMA claimed they had started a two-week cleanliness drive.
