Pakistan ranked world’s third best ODI cricket team

Pakistan cricket team has overtaken Australia to secure the third spot in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) ODI rankings, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the latest ICC rankings released on Friday, the Australian team lost the third position after a 26-run defeat against Sri Lanka in the second ODI of the five-match series in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
The Babar Azam-led Pakistan are now sitting at number three with 106 points, behind New Zealand and England, with 125 and 124 ratings, respectively.
Earlier, Pakistan had surpassed India to take the fourth spot after securing a clean sweep over West Indies in the three-match ODI series at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan had beaten West Indies by 53 runs to secure a win in the last ODI of the series after they registered a five-wicket win in the opening ODI, which was followed by another comprehensive 120-run victory in the second ODI.
