CTD arrests six terrorists in raids across Punjab

In order to preempt any incident of terrorism, the counter-terrorism department (CTD), acting on a tip-off, has arrested six terrorists, belonging to different banned outfits, from different parts of Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to the spokesman for the CTD, three terrorists have been arrested from Multan, two from Gujranwala and one from Dera Ghazi Khan.

He has further said that explosives, hand grenades, laptops and Rs18, 800 in cash have also been recovered from those taken into custody namely Liaquat, Nadeem, Inayat, Ammar, Ijaz and Younus.

He has elaborated that six cases have been registered against them while further investigation is underway.

The spokesman has informed that only this week 24 suspects have been arrested during 227 combing operations while 11, 694 people have been questioned.
