Overseas Pakistanis accord warm welcome to Field Marshal Asim Munir in US
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), during his visit to the USA, met with a large number of members of the Pakistani communityin Washington DC who extended a warm reception and welcome for him, reported 24News TV channel.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR on Tuesday, overseas Pakistanis welcomed the Field Marshal and applauded the performance of the country’s armed forces during the recent military confrontation with India.
They said they were proud of the fact that a befitting reply given by the armed forces during the operation Bunyanun Marsoos silenced the guns of the enemy, said the ISPR, adding that Field Marshal Munir thanked the overseas Pakistanis for sending remittances back home and investing their capital in the country.
Pakistani migrants, on the occasion, shared their suggestions and experiences with the Field Marshal and expressed the resolve to work for the betterment of the country.

According to the ISPR statement, Field Marshal Asim Munir is on an official visit to United States. During the visit, COAS interacted with the overseas Pakistani community in Washington DC. The COAS received a warm reception and welcome from the overseas Pakistanis, who gathered in large numbers to meet with the Chief of the Army Staff.
The diaspora warmly appreciated the outstanding performance of the Armed Forces during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos/Marka-e-Haq, showcasing their bravery and professionalism.
During the interaction, the COAS expressed his deep appreciation for the vital and most significant role being played by overseas Pakistanis for being ambassadors of Pakistan.
He acknowledged their contributions to the Pakistan's economy, and global reputation by contributing actively through remittances, investments and higher achievements in other domains.
The overseas Pakistanis shared their experiences and suggestions with the Army Chief. He emphasized the importance of engagement with the overseas Pakistanis, highlighting the need for continued collaboration and cooperation to address common challenges and promote cooperation.
The interaction concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment, as the COAS and the overseas Pakistanis pledged to work together towards a more secure, prosperous, and resilient Pakistan.
