Three people have so far been killed in a clash between police and terrorists in Kanju Chowk area of Swat on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Of those killed, one is a terrorist while two others are reported to be passersby.

RPO Malakand Division Abdul Ghafoor told the media that the terrorist who was shot dead by the security forces had been identified as Mukarram while the other one who was injured had been identified as Nisar Ali.

The officer said that hand grenades had been recovered from the possession of the terrorists. “Mukarram was wanted in connection with several terrorist attacks. He had also killed a policeman in Kanju last year. 

Following the encounter, police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
