Denying any wrongdoing, Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan has called for a fresh probe into the Ring Road scam.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday to clarify his position over the Ring Road scam, the federal minister said he has nothing to do with changing the alignment of the Ring Road project.

He added there was not any property or shares in any housing society linked to the proposed Ring Road. He said he would quit politics if an inch of land in the Ring Road project is proved.

He said initially, Ring Road was proposed to start from Thalian but in 2017, the National Highway Authority (NHA) told the authorities that the Toll Plaza would be jammed.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan said he would give legal notice to the people falsely involved his name in the scam and they would pay for it. He also claimed that his name was not included in the scam report.
