Karachi’s Victory Centre fifth floor catches fire

Fifth floor of the Victory Centre located at Abdullah Haroon Road in Karachi caught fire and fire hydrants vehicles were trying to extinguish the fire, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the fire incident.
Sindh CM sought a detailed inquiry report on the reasons for the fire in Victory Centre and Cooperative Market.
Murad Ali Shah directed Karachi Municipality Corporation (KMC) and Karachi Commissioner to take measures to prevent loss of lives in the fire incident.

Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab said that besides fire tenders, snorkel was also present at site.
“All efforts are being made by KMC fire officers and the administration to control the situation,” he added.
Murtaza further added, “Another case of fire has been reported near Zainab Market, Karachi. The fire brigade team of KMC is present at the site to control the situation. Will keep everyone posted.”
He said the process to extinguish fire was underway.
City21 reported that Karachi SSP South said that police personnel were also assisting with authorities on the fire incident.
