Federal Communications Minister Maulana Asad Mehmood met Russian Transport Minister Vitaly Saveliev, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

The duo sealed a road transport deal. The accord will facilitate easy transportation of goods and travel by road between Pakistan and Russia

Transport operations will be carried out on the basis of road transport permits and it was agreed that a joint working group would be formed to draw operational modalities and review implementation issues.

Russia is a resource-rich and technologically advanced country, Maulana Asad Mahmood said, adding that this agreement will pave the way for establishing trade links and public relations between the two countries.
