Information Minister Attaullah Tarar highlights Pakistan’s global role and diplomatic achievements

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar Monday addressed a debate titled “Pakistan’s Role in a Changing World,” organised by the Sanobar Institute, emphasising the country’s active foreign policy and its growing prestige on the global stage.

Speaking at the event, Tarar said Pakistan has played a vital role in shaping regional and international developments.

He highlighted the sacrifices made in the war against terrorism, noting that the country lost 90,000 lives and billions of dollars in the fight against extremist threats.

“Pakistan made great sacrifices and showed resilience on both the security and diplomatic fronts,” he added.

The minister underscored the contributions of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Field Marshal in presenting Pakistan’s narrative to the world.

According to him, Pakistan’s perspective was widely accepted internationally, and the country achieved notable successes in diplomacy, including a strong response to Indian aggression.

He praised the role of youth in exposing misinformation and lies from India through social media during periods of tension.

Tarar also highlighted the economic progress recognised by international financial institutions and said bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia and other friendly countries are improving.

He said Pakistan’s cooperation in areas such as trade and diplomacy has enhanced the country’s global standing.

The minister further noted that the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir received praise from the US President for their contributions to Pakistan’s international image.

He said Pakistan’s active foreign policy, diplomatic victories, and engagement with global partners reflect the country’s growing influence in a rapidly changing world.
