KP CM Sohail Afridi distributes scholarships worth Rs 64m to 347 students

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Monday awarded scholarships worth Rs 64 million to 347 undergraduate and graduate students, 24NewsHD TV reported.

In this regard, a scholarship distribution ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar, where Sohail Afridi distributed checks among the students. 

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also announced an additional Rs 300 million in funds for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation (KPEF) to further strengthen educational initiatives across the province.

 Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that students are the future of Pakistan and will one day lead both the province and the country.

“We must invest in our youth. Quality education and better healthcare facilities remain our top priorities,” he added.

He noted that the provincial government is introducing market-aligned academic disciplines to prepare students for modern industry demands.

“Our goal is to ensure that graduates not only secure jobs upon completing their studies but are also capable of creating employment for others,” Afridi said.

The chief minister announced the launch of an internship program aimed at ensuring that students do not remain unemployed after graduation.

Afridi reaffirmed that all government policies will be aligned with the vision of Imran Khan and pledged improved governance and effective service delivery.

Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi, officials from the Higher Education Department, university heads, and a large number of students attended the ceremony.
