The future of seats Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has won in the by-election is in question.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Imran Khan already has one seat
Imran Khan has won six more seats in the by-polls and according to the Election Commission of Pakistan, the PTI chief can hold just one seat.
If the oath is not taken within 30 days, the seats will fall vacant. As per sources in the ECP, Imran Khan can hold the seat of the last nomination papers and the others will be de-notified. These seats will be vacant again and in this case, by-elections on these seats will be held again.
Election expenses must be submitted within 14 days after which the commission will issue the notification announcing the successful candidates.
Notification of success cannot be issued without a deposit of election expenses and the seats will remain the same if the success notifications are not issued.
