Another high jump in Gold prices in Pakistan despite decline in int’l market
Despite a decline in prices of yellow metal in the international market on Tuesday, the Pakistani jewels market witnessed another big jump in gold prices as the price of 24-karat gold has surged by Rs300 per tola.
According to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24 karats of pure gold reached Rs2,17,400 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs257 to Rs1,86,385 per 10 grams in the local market.
Rates of 10 grams of gold of 22 karats have also increased and traded at Rs1,70,853 per 10 grams on Tuesday.
The rates of 24 karats fine silver remained unchanged and traded at RS2,530 per tola while the 22 karats silver traded at Rs2,170 per 10 grams.
Gold prices declined in the international market by US$3 per ounce and traded at US$2,005 per ounce on the second day of the week.
