A Punjab Assembly employee has attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the assembly building on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to initial report, the employee Haji Yusuf jumped off the old building of the Punjab Assembly.

Haji Yusuf received severe head injury after falling from the roof on the ground.

After the incident, the assembly workers immediately informed the Rescue 1122 personnel.

Haji Yusuf received serious injury and was transferred to a hospital.

Haji Yusuf allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping off the assembly building after a conversation on the mobile phone, eyewitnesses said.

However, police said they are investigating the matter keeping in view whether Yusuf accidentally fell from the building or tried to commit suicide.
