Gohar vows to take exports to $100b

Federal Trade and Commerce Minister Dr Gohar Ejaz has expressed his resolve to take Pakistan's exports to $100 billion, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

“Pakistan has a lot of potential. We have to lay such a foundation that Pakistan's exports will cross $100 billion,” said Gohar who is the recipient of Hilal-e-Imtiaz in recognition of his services to increase the country's exports.

“This is the solution to our country's problems.  A meeting with industry stakeholders will be held soon,” he said

Gohar is one of the well-known business personalities of Pakistan. His father Senator Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh was also an eminent entrepreneur of the country.

Gohar Ijaz was conferred Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2013, while Punjab University awarded him an honorary doctorate in 2021.

In 2022,  he got Hilal-e-Imtiaz for his valuable services in the social, economic, educational, and health sectors.
