Malaysian FM shows solidarity with Pakistan as flash floods wreak havoc
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan on Monday.
According to a press release issued by Foreign Office Spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan, the Malaysian foreign minister offered his condolences over the loss of precious lives due to recent flash floods in northern Pakistan and conveyed the Malaysian government’s message of support and prayers for the people of Pakistan.
He said that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar thanked the Malaysian foreign minister for showing solidarity with Pakistan and stressed that climate change was a growing challenge, especially for developing countries.
