Pakistan secures silver medal in South Asia Regional Badminton Ch'ship

Pakistan's U-23 badminton team has secured a silver medal in the Team Event in the South Asian Regional Badminton Championship, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday. 

The talented squad, comprising Muhammad Adnan, Rana Hasan Mujtaba, Umaima Usman, and Amara Ishtiaq, displayed impressive performances throughout the tournament.

The Pakistani team demonstrated their prowess with convincing victories, defeating Nepal 3-2, Bhutan 5-0, and Sri Lanka 5-0.

Their second-place finish was confirmed on the final day when Sri Lanka's win over Nepal cemented Pakistan's position in the standings.

In the Under-17 category, Pakistan's young shuttlers claimed the bronze medal after winning one of their matches, securing third place in the competition.

The championship now moves into its next phase, with individual matches scheduled to begin tomorrow, offering players another opportunity to showcase their skills on the regional stage.
