University professor who trained 32 BLA suicide-bombers arrested

In a startling development, a university professor, working for the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), who was arrested along with four other terrorists, has confessed to having trained 32 suicide-bombers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The revelation was made at a press conference addressed by Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Sarfaraz Bugti in Quetta on Monday. 

Professor Usman Qazi of Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), also disclosed that the Majeed Brigade had planned a terror attack on the country’s Independence Day on August 14.

He confessed he had mentally groomed these terrorists besides facilitating a terror attack at Quetta Railway Station.

However, he said he was ashamed of what he had done. “I am ashamed that I participated in anti-state activities.”

The professor in his confessional statemetn revealed that they used Telegram app to coordinate terrorist activities.

The chief minister said that the security forces deserved appreciation for foiling a terror attack on the country’s Independence Day on August 14. 

 

Chief Minister Bugti further said that the forces saved Balochistan from a big catastrophe.

He said it was propagated that the people of Balochistan felt deprived. “The professor, the security forces have arrested, is by no means deprived,” he said, and added, “It is a conspiracy to justify terrorism by propagating about so-called deprivation and economic backwardness.”

The chief minister opined that the issue of missing persons was played up as part of a conspiracy against the state. “There is a well-orchestrated plan to divide the country.”

Calling Baloch separatists ‘misguided people’, he appealed to the people of the province to dissociate themselves from them. 

He went on to say that investigations were underway, and hopefully more revelations would be made. “These people send youth to the mountains. They also use women for terrorist activities.”

Bugti has said that security forces foiled terrorists' agenda to target innocent citizens on the 14th August in the province. He said law enforcement agencies are endeavouring to maintain peace across the province.

The Chief Minister made it clear that anti-state elements will not succeed in their nefarious designs, adding that terrorists and their facilitators will be dealt with iron hands.
