Sindh Police finally break silence on Mir Raza murder case

Sindh Police have finally issued their first press release on the murder case of Mir Raza, saying a high-level team is investigating this case.

According to the police spokesperson, the investigation team is conducting a detailed review of medical reports, digital evidence and previous investigative proceedings. Information obtained from the victim’s family, friends and other relevant sources is being incorporated into the investigation.

The spokesperson said the investigation team has so far received two post-mortem reports, one final report and three chemical analysis reports. The latest chemical analysis report was received on August 17 and a comparative and critical review of all reports is currently underway.

However, certain aspects of the reports require further clarification and reconciliation. The relevant authorities and institutions are being contacted to obtain additional information and verification.

The police said the Punjab Forensic Science Agency had been approached for analysis of data from the victim’s mobile phone and smartwatch.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has been contacted regarding matters related to digital currency, while Apple authorities have been approached to unlock the mobile phone.

The spokesperson said clarification of the unclear points in the chemical analysis report could lead to significant progress in the investigation.

The spokesperson said the investigation team is conducting daily proceedings based on technical, digital, forensic and other reliable evidence.
