A video of Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai and her husband Aseer Malik has set the internet on fire as in the clip, the newly-wed couple has taken up the New Year challenge and decided their resolutions for the next year.

In the video, the couple can be seen sharing three resolutions, but with a twist. The final decision on whether or not to follow this resolution depends on the glass on the table.

The couple sat down armed with a few pens and shared their resolutions one by one. After which they threw the pen towards the mirror. If the pen fell into the glass, it meant passing the resolution, otherwise not.

One of the three resolutions Malala shared was to start going to the gym. The Nobel Prize winner was relieved when the pen fell out of the glass.

For her second resolution, she asked if her captive husband should shave his beard. Malala then threw the pen aside, saying to husband: "You can't, it's not allowed. Malala sarcastically said to her husband: "Just get out of the house if you shave".

On the other hand, Aseer's first resolution was whether the couple should buy a PlayStation or not. To Malala's relief and Asser’s captive's frustration, the pen once again fell out of the mirror.

Malala Yousafzai held her breath for the second resolution of Aseer, asking whether she should adhere to "No Shopping January".

The couple then asked if they should "follow" American comedian Hasan Minaj on Instagram.

They threw their pens one by one, but none of them fell into the glass.

The last big resolution where Malala stood, reached and dropped her pen in the mirror was about donating to the Malala Fund which is an international non-profit organization that advocates for girls' education. To conclude, the two hijacked each other and finished the video.

It is relevant to mention that Malala's husband Aseer Malik is the general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) National High Performance Centre (NHPC).
