Two dacoits shot dead in Islamabad police encounter

In an alleged police encounter in Islamabad on Saturday, two dacoits were gunned down while three officials of the Anti-Terrorism Squad were injured, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the Islamabad police spokesperson, the Bilal Gang during a dacoity bid opened fire on the police team as soon as they saw them. As a result, one police official got hurt and the outlaws managed to flee from the scene.
The spokesperson further informed that the police teams chased the criminals who holed up in a house in Bahria Town, Phase 8. The outlaws again started firing on the police squad.
Police, too, returned the fire. Resultantly, two dacoits were killed in the shootout, the spokesperson said adding that three officials of the ATS also received injuries during the encounter.
