British Embassy delegation visits Adiala Jail for consular access
Authorities grant a four-member team access to British national Aqeel Khan in jail: Visit highlights routine consular procedures for foreign nationals in custody
A delegation from the British Embassy visited Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Thursday, where they were granted consular access to a British national imprisoned at the facility.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the four-member delegation arrived in the morning and included Alice Elizabeth, Albert David, Shahid Hussain, and Sanina Azhar.
The Adiala Jail sources confirmed that the British Embassy delegation was provided with access to Aqeel Khan, the British national currently in custody at the jail.
The visit underscores routine diplomatic procedures allowing foreign nationals to receive consular support while in detention, in accordance with international norms and bilateral agreements between the United Kingdom and Pakistan.
