Two arrested in Talagang for making objectionable videos viral
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested two suspects for allegedly recording objectionable videos of a woman, making them viral on social media and using them for blackmail and harassment, reported 24NewsHD Tv channel Thursday.
According to officials, the suspects recorded the videos without the consent of the victim and later shared them through fake social media accounts. The accused are also alleged to have blackmailed and harassed the woman by threatening to further circulate the material online.
The arrested suspects were identified as Muhammad Shakeel and Shahina Bibi. Investigators said the mobile number used in committing the crime was registered in the name of the accused, linking them directly to the offence.
A case has been registered against the suspects, while further investigation is underway to determine the full scope of the crime and identify any additional individuals involved. The agency said strict legal action would be taken against those found responsible.
