In a shocking revelation by former PTI Union Council (UC) chairman Imtiaz Mahees, the party’s local leadership in Narowal has allegedly been involved in selling government jobs in the Education Department, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Friday.
Last week, with Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood present in a public meeting, Imtiaz Mahees had accused former PTI ticket-holder Sajjad Mahees of being involved in selling as many as 264 grade-4 jobs in Education Department in exchange for Rs80,000 against each seat.
Videos of his speech in the public meeting also went viral on social media following which a notification was issued, canceling all jobs advertised for recruitment into the Narowal’s education department.
Sajjad Mahees, on the other hand, termed the allegations against him baseless, saying that he had nothing to do with recruitments. “Our reputation is being tarnished,” he added.
