School timings may be changed in Punjab from March 1

In view of the increasing duration of days, the Punjab government is mulling changing school timings in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Quoting its sources, the TV channel reported that the School Education Department planned to change the timings of opening and closure of schools from March 1.
They added that under the new schedule, schools in the provincial capital may open at 8:00 AM and close at 2:00 PM, while these days their timings are between 8:45 AM and 2:45 PM.
In this connection, the department had even sought opinion from the concerned authorities, the sources concluded.
