Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has bifurcated the Peshawar Electric Supply Company into Hazara Electric Supply Company and Pesco, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to a notification, Pesco will consist of 6 circles including Peshawar, Khyber, Swat Bannu, Mardan, and Swabi while Hazara Electric Supply Company will consist of Hazara One and Hazara Two circles.

Hazara Electric Supply Company will be headquartered in Abbottabad the notification said, adding that the Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC) will assist the new bodies.
