The federal government has decided to post Amir Hassan of grade-22 as managing director of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).

The summery will be sent to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s approval tomorrow. Amir served as federal secretary of oversees Pakistani ministry. More transfers and postings are expected in a few days.

The government previously named Hashim Popalzai for the post. However, the cabinet showed reservations about his appointment as he (Popalzai) who was held responsible for sugar crisis in FIA probe a couple of months ago.

Earlier, the cabinet approved Popalzai’s appointment summary through a circulation. The FIA had declared Hashim Popalzai responsible for the wheat and sugar crisis and recommended his removal from the office.
