Fares of rail passengers and freight trains increased

Pakistan Railways announced an increase of three to four percent in fares of all the express and freight trains with effect from June 20, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
As per notification, issued in this regard stated that the Pakistan Railways decided to increase fares of all express trains and salons by three percent and the fare of freight trains enhanced by four percent.
Earlier in January 2025, Pakistan Railways increased the ticket fares of trains for all classes by 5 percent from February 5, 2025.
The increase in fares was applied to all the salon service and outsourced trains.
