Anti-Corruption Circle Rawalpindi has arrested former Naib Tehsildar Chakwal Najaf Hameed after the cancellation of his bail in the corruption case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

It is pertinent to mention that Najaf Hameed is the brother of former ISI DG Gen (r) Faiz Hameed.

Najaf Hameed was arrested after his pre-arrest bail was cancelled in a corruption case. Former Punjab Minister Hafiz Ammar Yasir is also co-accused in the corruption case.

Anti-Corruption Special Court judge Ali Nawaz Bakhar cancelled the bail plea of Najaf Hameed when the anti-corruption counsel told the court that the allegation against the accused had been proven.

Najaf Hameed was dismissed from service as Naib Tehsildar in Chakwal on corruption charges in 2023.
