Like the prices of other food items, prices of chicken too have increased considerably in Karachi.

Over the last 10-12 days, chicken prices have increased by Rs120, from Rs230 per kg to Rs350 per kg. Residents of Karachi say shopkeepers have displayed price lists at their shops in the entire city, but these prices are not being implemented anywhere in the provincial capital.

The prices of unslaughtered chicken too have gone up by Rs100 to Rs120 per kg, taking the new price to Rs220 per kg. The prices of eggs too have increased by Rs40 per dozen and the new price per dozen is Rs120 per dozen.
