Gold price edges up by Rs900 in Pakistan

The prices of gold increased in the local market on Monday, with 24-karat gold per-tola rate gaining Rs900 to settle at Rs477,162 compared to Rs476,262 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs772 to Rs409,089 from Rs408,317, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs707 to Rs375,011 against Rs374,304.

In the international market, the price of gold increased by $9 to $4,548 per ounce from $4,539.

Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs26 to Rs8,099, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs22 to Rs6,943.

The price of silver in the international market increased by $0.26 to $76.15 per ounce.
