Dollar gets Rs1.22 boost against rupee in early trading

After a consistent trend of depreciation against the rupee in recent weeks, the US dollar exchange rate jumped by Rs1.22 in interbank trading by early afternoon on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
By the time this report was being filed, the dollar was available for Rs159.52 after it bounced back to over Rs159 level after witnessing the biggest boost against rupee in months.
Earlier on Tuesday, the rupee was down by 13 paisas in interbank trading and closed at Rs158.30 against the previous day's closing of Rs158.17.
