“Ghost employees” in Sindh Local Bodies Department are in trouble now as the provincial government has decided to transfer the salaries of all the staff in the bank accounts from now on, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

From now onwards, it is mandatory for all the employees to have a new bank account open in their names in the Sindh Bank, the TV channel reported.

The Sindh government has constituted a six-member committee that will determine the formulation of the attendance on the online system.

All employees of the Sindh Local Government Department will now get their salaries on the basis of their attendance, the TV channel reported.

The six members of the committee included: Special Secretary Local Bodies Chiragh Uddin Hangoor, Additional Special Secretary, Additional Secretary Housing and Town Planning and Secretary Local Board.

The TV channel reported that the committee will submit its report in four months and after that, the Sindh government will take a final decision in the light of the report.
